Finding The Means To A Life That Matters.

Where I come from depression isn’t something you talk about, stress is considered normal and you’re expected to handle emotional challenges like you don’t have a heart. For a nation with so much culture, you’d expect things to be a lot different. But that’s the way our cookie crumbles.

I’ve had to help a lot of friends through distressing times and talk a few people out of making bad decision because they’re stressed out and anxious. Hell, I’ve had to be talked out of a lot of stressful emotions myself.

It’s easy to discount an illness when there’s no physical manifestation, just say snap out of it and people are expected to jump right back in the game. This works till someone jumps off a bridge, something that’s been happening a lot. I’ve had enough, so I’m going to do something about it.

I’ve started a blog, call it a haven where people can come to read important stuff about managing stress and dealing with anxiety and depression. I’m determined to help as many people as I can, dispel the stigma surrounding expressing emotions and fight like hell to give people a safe space to express themselves.
